DOPPS BirdLife Slovenia is a non-profit, non-government organisation established in 1979. It is involved in the project because of its interest of nature conservation, environmental protection and research. Organisation holds over 1000 members out of which there are 200 volunteers and employ 23 people. They are responsible for the protection of birds and their habitats, thus contributing to nature conservation and the wider communities’ welfare. DOPPS-BirdLife Slovenia is a national partner of the worldwide nature conservation organisation BirdLife International.
